Eastern International Region of the American Academy of Religion Annual Conference and Meeting The Eastern International Region of the American Academy of Religion proudly partners with McGill University's Department of Religion to host the annual EIR meeting and conference, "Religion in Harm and Healing," April 13-14, 2019 at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. We are delighted to be running concurrently with McGill's History/Islamic Studies conference "Angelical Conjunctions: Crossroads of Medicine and Religion," McGill-CREOR's graduate student conference, and the Society for Comparative Research on Iconic and Performative Texts (SCRIPT). Conference participants are invited to attend the keynote speech, "Religious Meanings in Harmful Healing and Healing Harm," presented by Boston University School of Medicine Professor Linda Barnes which will be held Saturday evening followed by a wine and cheese reception.
